Mahjong East Wind Coin

Inspired by traditional vintage mahjong sets, our East Wind Coin honors the role of the dealer, known as East, who begins each game. In mahjong, the East Wind seat starts play, breaks the wall, and, in many versions, draws the first 14 tiles while other players take 13. The role then rotates around the table as the game progresses.

Our coin can be rotated to mark the current dealer, making it easy to keep track of whose turn it is to serve as East throughout play.

And because mahjong gatherings are as social as they are competitive, the coin also doubles as a pause marker. When the game needs to pause for a drink refill, a quick break, or life in motion, simply place the coin on your rack so everyone knows where play will resume.

Designed to pair with our Pause Rack Covers, the East Wind Coin allows the game to move seamlessly between tradition and modern play, so you can always return to the table with ease and pick up right where you left off.
