Haus of Tiles was founded by an interior designer who believes the spaces we gather in shape how we feel, and that play deserves a place among the most beautiful objects in our homes. Created as a sister brand to Jenna Zielbauer’s interior design studio, Coveted Haus, the name reflects a natural extension of her work: designing houses, and now the tiles that live inside them. Through a design-first lens, we are rethinking how American mahjong looks and lives in the home, creating heirloom-quality sets that are as beautiful in play as they are on display.

Mahjong has always been more than a game. The original tiles were small works of art, rich with symbolism and visual language. Each mark, flower, and creature carried meaning, created to be both functional and beautiful at the table.

Our collections are an homage to that tradition. As mahjong has resurged, many modern sets have leaned into novelty themes and saturated design. At Haus of Tiles we return to the spirit of the original artwork, reinterpreting its visual language through a thoughtful, design-driven lens.

We create heirloom-quality tiles, mats, and accessories designed to transcend trend cycles and live beautifully in a room between games. Curated to Combine™, our pieces mix effortlessly so the table feels cohesive, considered, and naturally at ease.

Here we play by our own Haus rules: pieces bold enough to spark interest, yet quiet enough to live beautifully on display.

At the heart of our Haus is interior designer Jenna Zielbauer, an intuitive creator who designs from instinct and emotion, believing beautiful things naturally bring people together. Her vision guides every pattern, palette, and detail within Haus of Tiles.

She approaches a table the same way she approaches personal style, as something to be composed, layered, and changed depending on the mood. This belief is the foundation of Dress The Table™, the idea that a table should be styled with the same intention as an outfit. A mahjong set is not meant to feel fixed. It should evolve with the season, the guests, and the atmosphere you want to create.

Haus of Tiles collections are designed like a capsule wardrobe. Every piece works seamlessly together, making it effortless to mix, match, and restyle the table without starting over. The goal is cohesion without monotony, expression without excess. Just like the books that line your shelves, your tiles should tell your story. Over time, they become markers of the nights you hosted, the friends you gathered, and the memories made around your table.

A minimalist–maximalist at heart, Jenna believes great design should spark conversation without creating chaos. Mahjong is already a dynamic, cognitively rich game. The design surrounding it should bring clarity, not noise. Through refined palettes and intentional contrast, Haus of Tiles reimagines American mahjong through a design-first lens, creating sets that are as beautiful in play as they are on display.

From a very early age, Jenna used art and fashion to express herself. What began as sketching outfits evolved into launching apparel lines sold across the United States and later building an award-winning interior design business. Creating has always been how she processes the world. Across fashion, interiors, and now mahjong, her work has centered on the belief that design shapes emotion and that the environments we create influence how we gather, connect, and live.

Haus of Tiles is an extension of that philosophy, honoring tradition while thoughtfully reimagining it. It is a belief that restraint can feel bold, that clarity can be expressive, and that a beautifully designed table can transform a simple game into something lasting. In the end, the tiles become more than pieces in play. They become an invitation to gather well, to style intentionally, and to create moments that linger long after the final tile is drawn.
